Things that impressed me about South Korea

Beautiful colourful city

Fake food presented rather than real food

So much better than restaurants preparing fresh food to just sit there on display and dry out. The fake food dishes are realistic and really helps a hungry person decide what they would like to eat.

The parks for kids

Such colourful, fun and well-thought out designs. Great exercise and stimulation for the children and their parents. They use a soft rubbery substance as the flooring which I’m sure prevents many broken bone incidents. There are lots of these adorable playgrounds everywhere.

Outdoor gyms

The kid’s get their colouful playgrounds and the adult’s have an outdoor gym to flex their tight muscles. They are every where. South Korea is serious about having strong citizen’s.

Night club vibe

Nothing unusual about people being up and about up to midnight. And for good reason. There is always something to do. Festivals, beautiful places to walk through and concerts out in public. I’m always amazed by what I walk into everyday.

Safe

Safe for a single lady

Compared to other places that I have visited. I feel safe wandering around alone. Of course South Korea has their crime but it is way lower than other countries. I’m careful not to lower my guard too much but so far, I have been a very happy lady tourist.

Very modern

My misconception of South Korea was that it was one huge rice paddy. Nope, it is quite an organised and advanced place.

Beautiful festivals and events constantly pop up

There is never a dull day in South Korea. As I step outside my door everyday, I know that I am in for such a treat.

Really organized for tourists.

The food is amazing!

Korean’s have a healthy meal plan. There is always a huge variety of yummy foods to eat at each meal. I’ve noticed that I don’t get a tight stomach anymore. I definitely think the asian style of eating is much healthier than the western style.

Kind and helpful

Asian friends

I have lots of asian friends and they all help me with great advice on how to survive here.

Supported trees

I found it so interesting just how much South Korean’s take their gardening seriously. These tree’s have very well constructed strong supports to ensure that they grow straight.

Amazing Subway

The subway is my favourite public transportation. It is huge, clean and always on time. You don’t need a car.

The wifi is fantastic

WIFI

I’m a real wifi princess. So when I discovered that access to wifi is widespread and strong. I am in my element 24/7.
